Luminous printing is basically similar to ordinary fabric pigment printing. It uses light-storing materials and adds special adhesives and other additives to make a luminous printing paste to print pattern patterns. After being irradiated by sunlight or other light sources, the luminous paste saves energy and changes from low-energy state. It jumps to the active state, and displays colorful patterns in the dark environment after nightfall, with special visual effects. Luminous printed fabrics are generally used in evening dresses, casual wear, children's clothing and interior decoration, etc., or used as clothing, shoes, hats and venue logos for special work occasions such as public security, transportation, urban construction, electricity, mining, fire safety, and stage performances. Luminous materials must be excited by light to emit light in the dark, so they are also called photoluminescent materials. At the same time, luminous materials used in textile printing should solve two problems; one is the protection of luminous materials (photoluminescence or luminous powder); the other is the connection of luminous materials and fabrics. These two problems will directly affect the luminous life and fastness of patterns on the fabric. Therefore, attention should be paid to the selection of materials used in the preparation of luminous printing paste, and the preparation of the materials in accordance with the requirements of the fabric and luminous printing paste. The high-quality luminous material has excellent weather resistance and light fastness, and the luminous effect remains unchanged when exposed to a humid environment or strong light; the made luminous printed fabric is exposed to the sun and rain continuously for 1 month outdoors, and has no effect on the luminous brightness.
